Students like the brightly coloured pages and the graphics. I like that it has the counts written on for them to follow, as they sometimes struggle to play quavers evenly.

Gentle and logical progression clearly laid out. Introduces positions other than C early on. Artwork is appealing to young students. Good variety of material within constraints of a limited number of notes. Carefully thought out link to its companion Technique and Performance book. The best young beginner tutor I have found.
