            an attractive tunes, which my pupils like;
            logical structure of the book including a theory of music and aural exercises. CD increases a chance of learning -listening is a part of learning process. Good lay out. Finally, an English not any more American musical names inside! e.g. a crotchet instead of quarter note - I found easier to teach!

            The pieces are attractive and pedagogically sound. My pupils love this book. The print is sufficiently large for young children and the CD accompaniments are at two speeds which is very useful.
            Just the fact that the book doesn't introduce quavers at all. This really could have been tackled as most children will have met quavers in other musdical contexts.
