Glen Ellyn, IL, USA
- This is a challenging work for young voices, but stunning. It challenges the ears of the group, with lots of cluster harmonies, but has many magical moments. Needs comfort in singing in seconds. Love the narrations in between movements which creates a longer through line than typical octavos. Fresh and beautiful, with harp, keyboard, and 3 percussionists.
- Harder for the singers than I ever expected it to be. That's not a bad thing, but takes an advanced children/youth/high school treble group.
