It's clear and simple to read even for very young pupils and it provides a way for starters to check they have the correct notes.
I frequently guillotine the top bit off as it fits better on many pianos and keyboards.

Perfect for me, an adult learner. I needed a practice 'dummy keyboard', plus a 'keyboard' chart with all the notes marked. This fits nicely behind the keys of my full-sized computer powered keyboard and is so cheap that I bought two. (I'll use the 'dummy keyboard' side, with no notation whatsoever, as a permanent practice keyboard. I've just got to find a piece of cardboard big enough.....!)
