I have been wanting to play my keyboard since I got it three years ago. My daughter plays by ear. I wanted to learn all there is to learn but from the beginning. This DVD is just perfect for me

I am really enjoying this tution DVD. It is very clear and I have progressed quite well even though I am a complete beginner. I do find the progress of lessons quite fast but in between lessons I use the booklet with the excercises until I feel confident to move on. The tutor has a lovely relaxing and confidence inspiring voice but I could have done without the comments from the 'celebrities' which I found boring - I just wanted to be at the keys! I love the idea that you learn to read music right from the start - can't wait to play my first concerto! I couldn't afford professional lessons and this is an excellent substitute.

I thought the DVD overall was very good. New terms are explained as they appear. I'm actually a guitar player and knew one or two bits of piano before I started. I could also read music before I started which meant that the learning curve wasn't very steep for me. However for someone totally new to music the learning curve I'd imagine would quickly become very steep indeed. My advice is to take your time with the DVD and slowly work on everything in it.

Another good buy from muscicroom. Great for the beginner who is learning the piano like myself. Great dvd and very fast delivery.

OK, with reasonable explanation, but moves quite quickly, which leads to stopping and starting a lot. I've found that I prefer to work from books. Piano Time, although primarily aimed at kids, is particularly good in combination with a chords and scales book and the practical and theory grade books.
