I bought this book for 'Summertime' which is a Grade 5 Piano for Leisure piece. It is the most beautiful piano arrangement of it I've heard. It just drips off your fingers. Lovely.

This book contains plenty of good songs, but they aren't really arranged with the style or sound that I would associate with a cocktail bar pianist. Most are of the same standard (and style) as the ordinary published versions of the songs, and the book even includes the well-known "Ballade pour Adeline", completely unaltered from the original version. For the true "cocktail piano" style, buy the "Midnight Collection" from the same series. It's by the same arranger, but the sound is much more "authentic", at least to my ears.

I bought this after reading a review of the Ritz Collection so bought both collections. I am quite pleased with both as I have other piano music arranged by Frank Booth from many years ago. The majority of the pieces can be sight read and 'oldies' can be very nice to play.
