A good book for the very young children (5-8 yrs.) who like to sing in the classroom.
If you would like to play the melodies, some songs can not be played with a standard soprano ukelele. You can if you have a low g fitted.

An economic selection of what used to be called 'community songs' which I've used with both children and adults for practice at beginners' level: useful for introducing basic chords, time signatures etcO
One or two tunes slightly simplified, but that's all.

Great intro to playing the uke: well-known tunes (notation) + standard chords introduced progressively. Everything the teacher needs to cover the rudiments of playing - time signatures, suggested strumming patterns - and all at a very reasonable price. If you are teaching yourself (with some basic musical knowledge) easy enough to work out, I would think.
